Rockcastle 72-Hour Feed Status
No official Rockcastle County page, menu item, or query was verified for people released during the last 72 hours. The detention center’s public channel is labeled Current Inmates and embeds JailTracker. It shows a current-custody function, not a three-day history. Relabeling that roster as a release list would misstate what the source provides.
A three-day check must therefore be built from existing person-specific records. The jail’s movement entry establishes when and how a booking ended. The court file supplies the bond, dismissal, sentence, probation, revocation, or transfer authority. VINE may report a custody event. KOOL and KDOC’s daily archive apply when the person is in the state correctional population.
Search Rockcastle Three-Day Releases
Choose exact bounds first. A rolling 72 hours differs from three named calendar dates. State the start and end in Eastern Time, especially when the range crosses midnight or a daylight-saving change. A clear range lets the custodian locate existing movements without being asked to create a list.
- Identify the full name, approximate booking date, and booking or case number if available.
- Use the current roster only to test whether the person remains listed now.
- Ask the detention center whether the booking ended in release, transfer, or another hold during the defined span.
- Request the booking sheet and release or custody-movement screen for that episode.
- Search Kentucky VINE and the Rockcastle District or Circuit Court case.
- For a state offender, review each date in KDOC’s Daily Releases archive and match the DOC number in KOOL.
- Use BOP or ICE tools if the county movement identifies a federal receiving agency.
A request should seek records the jail already keeps. It should not ask staff to construct a new 72-hour report when none is maintained. For one recent day, the Rockcastle County 24-Hour Releases method narrows the same evidence chain.
Rockcastle 72-Hour Record Fields
A useful three-day result must identify the event, the person, and the destination. The field names below describe what to request from the booking and movement record. They are not a claim that each item appears on the live roster or that every field is public.
| Field | How it helps |
|---|---|
| Full name and booking number | Separates one booking episode from another. |
| Booking date and time | Sets the start of local custody. |
| Release date and time | Places the movement inside or outside the 72-hour range. |
| Movement or release code | Distinguishes bond, time served, court order, transfer, and other outcomes. |
| Destination or receiving agency | Shows whether government custody continued. |
| Case number and court | Points to the legal order behind the event. |
| Bond and hold information | Explains conditional release or another custody basis. |
Ask whether the recorded time means physical departure, an administrative close, or acceptance by a receiving agency. A release code on one booking does not rule out another warrant or case. Compare the date, identifier, and agency rather than relying on a common name.
Rockcastle Weekend Release Windows
A 72-hour range is most useful when the likely event falls over a weekend, holiday, or an uncertain date. The wider span catches a Friday evening event when the search begins Monday, and it reduces the risk that a movement processed after midnight falls outside a one-day request. It does not solve source lag by itself.
No official update cadence was verified for the public Rockcastle JailTracker roster. The jail’s VINE information states that VINE scans the booking computer every ten minutes, but that fact applies to the notification feeder. It is not proof that the public roster refreshes on that schedule, nor does it promise when an alert will arrive. Use the exact event record for the timestamp.
Court entries may also post on a schedule different from physical jail processing. A bond order can exist before release, and a docket entry may be visible after the person left. Read the jail timestamp and court authority together.
Note: When a range crosses a weekend, request all three named dates as well as exact start and end times to reduce ambiguity.
Why Rockcastle Names Disappear
Rockcastle’s official navigation offers a current roster but no recent-release option. Comparing snapshots cannot reconstruct a complete three-day history. A person might enter and leave between observations. Another might vanish because the booking moved to KDOC, another county, USMS, or ICE custody.
The destination field is therefore central. Bond, own-recognizance release, time served, or an unconditional court order may place a person in the community if no other hold exists. Transfer, extradition, state commitment, or an ICE pickup does not. Parole and mandatory reentry supervision can mean physical release while correctional control continues.
- Release
- A custody movement that may place the person outside the facility, depending on the event type and holds.
- Transfer
- A move from one custodian or facility to another, not freedom from custody.
- Discharge
- Completion or termination of a correctional status, which differs from supervised release.
- Detainer
- A request or hold that can cause another agency to take custody.
Rockcastle KDOC Release Archive
Kentucky provides a dated exception to the absence of a local feed. The KDOC Daily Releases archive publishes reports for state offenders. A June 16, 2025 PDF named Rockcastle County Detention Center in the “Released From” field and demonstrated columns for DOC number, name, type of release, released-from facility, and highest felony class.
For a 72-hour span, open all dated reports in the period, search each PDF for Rockcastle, and compare any matching DOC number in KOOL. Copy the exact release type. Parole, mandatory reentry supervision, and minimum-expiration discharge describe different legal states. KOOL’s current supervision or discharge fields help explain what followed the dated movement.
The archive does not include every person briefly booked at the county jail. It covers the KDOC population, including covered state offenders released from county placements. Ordinary local pretrial releases still require the jail movement and court records.
Rockcastle Custody Paths Compared
The office and search tool depend on who held the person. Sentencing county, physical location, and current custodian are not the same fact. Rockcastle records answer a local booking question; Kentucky and federal systems answer their own custody events.
| Record path | Released evidence | Still in custody evidence |
|---|---|---|
| County jail | Movement code, timestamp, destination, and court order | Current roster or jail confirmation |
| Kentucky corrections | Dated Daily Releases entry plus supervision or discharge status | KOOL active status and current location |
| Federal | BOP result with release date and released status | BOP custody result or USMS confirmation |
| Immigration | ICE agency record | ICE locator result when the person is included |
VINE adds event notice for participating local and state agencies, but it is not the source release document. A court file explains legal authority but may not prove the instant staff completed physical departure.
Request Rockcastle Three-Day Records
Direct a narrow open-records request to the Rockcastle County Detention Center or the county custodian for its jail records. Give the person’s full name, a non-sensitive disambiguator, approximate booking period, and the exact 72-hour range. Ask for the booking sheet and release, discharge, or movement screen, including departure time, event type, and receiving agency.
The Kentucky Attorney General open-records resources provide current guidance. Request electronic copies and segregable nonexempt portions, and ask for a cost estimate. Protected identifiers, medical facts, juvenile material, victim or witness data, and sealed material may be withheld or redacted.
For the judicial basis, contact the Rockcastle Circuit Court Clerk for the District or Circuit case. For a state sentence, KDOC keeps the offender history and release entry. These parallel sources preserve a past event after a current roster stops showing the person.
Note: Online visibility is not archival retention; ask the record custodian which Kentucky retention series governs the specific movement record.
